After just over two years, I decided it was time to remake the picture that originally kickstarted my Peacemaker fan story. This scene features an adolescent Peacemaker at Jade Mountain Academy, where he meets Truthseeker (my interpretation of Clearsight reincarnated, as well as the blacksmith from Moon's vision) for the first time. When I made the original, Darkness of Dragons had only just come out, and it was my way of dealing with the unresolved feelings I had about it. I figured since I already knew I wanted to make this, why not kill two birds with one stone and make it my first speedpaint? The video is nowhere near perfect, but I'm just proud to finally have it done. Parts are trimmed down because at high speed the constant zooming in and out to line the scales would have given people motion sickness. I know, because that's what happened to me.
