Commission for the lovely AprilSilverWolf on DA. She wanted a tribal/Celtic/heraldry type commission featuring an intertwined wolf and African wild dog, and since I've never drawn in that style before, I had to do a lot of research and experimenting to make it look right. I took closeup photos of walls and doors there with the intent of using them as textures. I played around a lot with the effects to make it look old and faded, like a medieval painting or tapestry. I'm actually surprisingly satisfied with how this turned out, especially considering the fact that I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.
