This is the result of them absorbing an entire galaxy or more! It's quite hard to describe what being inside Stello is like, since you don't come back out... Either every atom of your being is merged into him; or there's a dimension inside him, were everything he's devoured is reconstructed like nothing happened; or possible a mix of both? He seems to think so, as he talks about "remaking the universe within himself" and that everyone inside share his consciousness.
He might just be saying that to get you to join though? I mean, he doesn't HAVE to sweet talk you if he didn't want to; considering he's quite unstoppable. Guess the only way to know for sure is just... Take the plunge!
