-Robin Hood & Maid Marian AR -Epilogue 1/2
Well, folks its been an impossibly active weekend for me here on FA- I just keep cranking out pictures, don't I? Well I think these'll be the last of my submissions for a while, I really need to get some sleep and get back to work...
Anyway- I pondered a continuation to the Robin Hood sequence story posted previously, and things slowly clunked into place in my sleep-deprived brain.
This is the result, a sort of twist added to the story. But I don't think I'll go much farther than the next page here, folks... Sorry, but you'll have to imagine the rest of the story yourselves...
Anyway, it seems the magical apple did not go undisturbed where the vulpine couple had dropped it in the depths of Sherwood... A particularly greedy and self-centered lion came across it, by whatever means... And of course he gobbled it up, not sparing a nibble or sliver of fruit for his subjects- And that is most certainly in their best interests, considering the apple's potent affect on its consumer. His robes were already ill-fitting on his scrawny, gawkish physique.
Masses of text here- Skippy deserves more lines... His mother was a serious challenge to draw, but I kind of like the way she turned out, and her monologue is brimming with exposition, isn't it?
Somehow Robin, Skippy, and Marian look much older than they're supposed to here... Maybe its just the contrasting with our distinctly younger "mysterious" new player... ^^

Well, expositions quite alright in the right places, and it helps here. Now you accomplish a number of things here, one of which I never thought would happen: Feel bad for Lil John (Yes, yes I went there. Come on, someone HAD to call him that X3). He just looks like he needs hug, the poor little cub (disregarding his "previous" life, I think he deserves it. He falls under the lining of...hold on *flips through his copy of TV Tropes* Ah, The "Woobie". I mean, look at the cub eyes! You have to have a heart of stone not to go awwwww.
You did a very good job with Skippy's mother, but what I really think you did an exellent job is, the expressions. I know I talk about this a lot in your pictures, but as someone whose experiences drawing faces has been pretty varied with best, you come up with some of the the best expressions (such as poor Skippy as the young kit couple talks over his head, in the lower right corner or Robin's blank stare ).
As for the kit couple themselves...I was thinking it was due to Lil John next to them that makes look older. Then again, perhaps its their adult minds and mannerisms that helped too. A very cute epilogue, so far
