Is that a typeface where the bottom of the minuscules are cut off?
I've got a book with a photograph of sample sheet from a German writing tutor c.1420's and he could write a hand where the bottom 1/4 of all the minuscules was cut off abruptly. Surprisingly legible since it's the tops that matter most of course.
