In the far future when men no longer fought wars, they were just the collateral damage. Civilians standing in the way of the computer controlled armies of the warring nations. One man dared to stand up for what he thought was right and fought back.
War: The way it really is (Seriously)
Arnold Stallone was an ordinary man. Five days a week he took the monorail to work and on weekends he enjoyed being home with his family. That day was just a day like that. Arnold was sitting on his porch having a cup of tea with his wife. The children were playing tennis in the garden and the dog was chasing its own tail. Life was perfect... But not for long.
Their house was out on the country side, no neighbors lived closer than a few miles away from them. The perfect place for a war to take place. The warlords apparently thought so. On the horizon on both sides of the house appeared an army of tin men. Slowly approaching.
It all started with a great ball of iron. It was fired from far away and landed right ontop of the dog, flattening it into a warm pizza with plenty of ketchup. The kids screamed and started running towards the house. Arnold just froze where he was but his wife ran to get the children. They were all blown away by stray bullets. Arnold was as frozen in his chair while the battlefield moved onto his lawn. Then something snapped.
Everyone he ever cared for was dead and he couldn't take it any longer. He grabbed the gun of a fallen cybernetic soldier and gunned down the rest. The robots were too slow to react. War was a joke.
Arnold proceeded to kill, if you could call it that, all the soldiers of the opposing force. But he had gotten blood lust, now nothing could stop his rage. He jumped in a tank and drove it to the emperial castle. There were hardly any guards because those sick bastards had struck an agreement that the leaders of nations were never to be harmed, it was in the new "rules of war". It was as if it was all a game to them. He drove the tank right through the outer walls squashing the few guards stationed out, and inside.
Speakers seated on every wall sent out messages that he was breaking the law and must stop emediately. But he didn't hear em, he didn't want to.
Arnold's aim was set at the main tower. He fired a few shots and saw it crumble. The burning pieces fell to the ground smashing the other buildings around it.
Finaly his mind was once again clear. He realised what he had just done... He smiled.
His job was far from over.
