While yes, I know the actual decade goes from 2011 to 2020, I am doing it this way as I saw others doin'. But yes, with the start of 2020 now here, I feel we should take a look back at the last ten years of art.
I started the decade as a 11 year old (would be 12 by the end of that year, my birthday being in November afterall) and ended up at the end as a 21 year old. So it was a pretty significant time of my life. Lots happened in this time span, things definitely underwent a shift. My living situation has indeed decreased significantly over the course of the decade. I had even come out, at least online, over the course of this decade. I discovered my being trans and a lot of things of that manner. I discovered a lot of things about myself and learned quite a lot, if I went into detail it'd take ages. (Plus I find it rather difficult to put everything in to words)
But yes, it was a significant time in my life. I do thank those who stuck around during this time, be it any length of time you did do, as you helped me grow up essentially. This was a developmental time of my life, a pretty important one too, and it all resulted in who I am today. The decade sure wasn't easy, in fact it was rather difficult, many up's and down, lots of significant events did happen. Many mental ups and downs as well certainly, but in the end, I am here. I am still alive. I survived the 2010s.
Artistically, I started with what ya see in the top there, using MS Paint and a really ancient computer, think it was still the XP Windows I had at the time, eventually switching to Windows 7 and now beginning in 2018, I switched to the Windows 10. In around late-ish 2017 I also began using other sites and such to help my art in shading n such. Eventually going to what I use now, a hybrid between MS Paint and GIMP. I am still learning it but you can see a significant shift indeed. That's just the digital art of mine as well, while yes I am primarily a digital artist, I also do traditional art. I have very little of that art left these days but I made leaps and bounds for sure in that department as well.
I am curious, what do you think of this? What do ya think of how my art looked over these years? I look forward to hearing your thoughts, just like on any post I make.
