Before the events of 'In Darkness I Hide,' before her marriage to the police officer, Anthony Wolford and even before she adopted her first son, Steven, Murana was a very ruthless and merciless vigilante that preyed upon the viciously sick and demented criminals of Zootopia's underworld. Burning them alive as a form of punishment for the vile deeds they had perpetuated on innocent young females and children. To her, the ends justified the means and she would stop at nothing to get at her target of interest.

One such target was an elusive meerkat that had ravaged many young innocents and Murana wasn't going to stand for it. This meerkat surrounded himself with the toughest carnivores and was seemingly one step ahead of Murana. She couldn't track him down or get him vulnerable for a second. So she instead went after one of the bodyguards, one who, she knew had a lustful streak a mile wide.

Using her feminine wiles, she preyed on him and seduced him to her bed. Who wouldn't jump at the chance of sleeping with a notorious vigilante whom seemed perfectly willing to have you bed her? Using her intimate connection, she would get any information out of him as she could on the meerkat, ultimately resulting in the meerkat's death. The bodyguard seduced was of no use anymore and so was disposed of since she couldn't have him hanging around. A ruthless vigilante indeed.
