This evening I'am on the Earthshaker Fest 2006 Uploading Trip.
So you will the a few pics of Lordi, Wintersun, Apos...
This particular picture is obviously from the band Lordi, who won the European Song Contest in 2005, So they did a meteoric rise in notoriety and got booked by different metal festivals. Their first gig in Germany was on this Earthshaker Festival and so me myself had to fought with TV-crews in front of the band due to best pictures.
Second, the Gig was less than bad. Lordi arrived with nearly a hour delay and played only five Songs. Perfectly straight in coreography with the programmed lightning and firework. As in all music-genres too fast risings in awareness isn't good for the self-concept and so Lordi made a great "fall" from a underground-loved powermetalband up to mainstream-pop-doll and then back into the unknown. Now, in 2010, the last album is 2 years old and were only recognized in Finnland, where Lordi came from. Fast come fast gone I would say. Sad, cause I knew the band long before 2006 and miss them.
A few Infos about the origin of the shot:
In the time from 2004 till 2009 I worked for a major Heavy-Metal Magazine as a reporter and photographer. So I traveld all over germany and the nearby countries from show to show and from festival to festival, taking interviews and photos from the artists. From the neat little shows in a townhall to the biggest festival in europe, wacken, I met bands from ... to...
Mention:
1) ALL of this Pictures are taken by me, Winged Neko, so all of the Rights obtain to me. I know I can't hold you back to save and use them without my permission, but it's more than fair to ask me first.
2) ALL of the pictures are un-enhanced. No color correction, no effects, no-whatever. This is my standard: shown how seen and shown how taken. no faking or redesign as in model-shows. So maybe the one or another picture may not suits you due to the light or color temperature or whatever. I don't care :P
3) ALL of this Pictures are resized and compressed with nearly 50% JPG, according to faster download times. So they might look crispy or misssharped. This is an effect of the compression. If anyone wants a picture in full Resolution/ uncompressed (most the time 4288x2848 / 11MB as JPG oder 150MB as Raw) may contact me.
