I used to be at a gas station and we had a couple who every1 disliked (i thought they were ok, kinda awkward)
Basically they lived in their car, were about 70, and had a cat at first. The lady would change her depends in our bathroom, they'd ask for free sodas/water/ice (I just gave it bc they're retirees living in a car sue me.) But they'd like stay and talk(complain about their day) for 30 minutes everytime. The diapers alone made them hated lol. Apparently the truck stop in our chain the clerk stole their cat from their car. (when parked itd climb out the window onto the hood, was kinda cool tbh) and they were suing us for millions last I heard. Ended up moving but they were the susans

Personally I think at the very least to work in government a person should need to pass both an IQ test and an ethics test, while hooked up to a polygraph. If government stopped making stupid laws then maybe we would have a bit less stupid people...

Having a high IQ doesn't mean that someone is really intelligent or has any common sense. I don't think you can really test for ethics, except by observing how someones behave, and polygraph are bullshit in my opinion, much like lie detectors. I think everyone working at any responsibility posting in government should spend a year living with minimum wage and working a basic job like retail or cashier or some such, so they get to experience what life is like for the comment people. They should also have their pay close to or at base wage level, and anything else that they make, whether by money or through 'gifts' from lobbies, should be redistributed or resold and given to the poorer in the country. That would change a lot of things.

Personally I think that the pay for any job should be dependent on how necessary that job is to society. As such, CEOs would make less than cleaners. Because how long would a business stay running if no one cleaned it...

A business also cannot stay running for long without a clear long-term strategy devised by the CEO.

Actually they can, a coffee shop for example, could be run by just the employees. As long as they know what to order.

Maybe for a coffee shop, but that's not true for every kind of company.
