This here is a new character, one I've had set up for a bit. This is Hara's grandfather, Daitaro. Also a former elder of the tanuki village Hara comes from. A wise, knowing elder, he leaded his people with honour and understanding. He also had his playful side as well, enjoying a good joke or two, or having fun with the village. He is from where the Ceremony of Becoming started. Only, unlike Baku, he intended it in genuine interest, to help those that need help in their magic proficiency.

One day, after Daitaro retired from leading the village, he became a statue, so he may 'retain his youth' and see Hara to the ceremony the day it arrives.
And then, the village mysteriously forgot about him. Unknowing of Baku's actions, removing all memories of Daitaro from the village. To this day, the statue still stands in the village.
