Voice acting workshop run by
buckhopper in the Kings jersey. Here he's directing Shockwave in reading from an FBA podcast script. About ten folks read various bit parts; for most of them it was their first time reading into a mic and hearing their own voices as fed through the "cans" or headphones. Buck Hopper will use the recordings in a future FBA podcast. He also has the best outtakes from previous podcasts in his Scraps.
Phrases of wisdom from this very entertaining panel:
"Fortunately, no one sees you voice-acting."
"Every voice is useful for something."
"Your job is to perform - MY job is to record it."
"I do three takes. I might let you get away with two, but never one."
"Keep those headphones on, you think you're done?"

I know, right! It was the first one, and I got there too late for the previous hour, when Buck went over the technical aspects, what equipment to use and so forth. I only caught the last few sentences, which were: If you must, go ahead and hang bedsheets all around your room, use any microphone or headset that isn't built into your computer, use Audacity because it's free, and go for it. Or words to that effect.
