For a gig like this I'd use a light pick - I don't want to drown out my fellow musicians :)

I can understand both sides to that.. just kinda asked before brain clicked on... I play a little harmonica too but yeah... with that aside I've found guitar picks that are made from mammoth ivory to have the nicest and most mellow tones as well as the crispest tones.. pending on which pick and which guitar.

Yes, a solid pick like those made from ivory give a full, resonant tone. That's when you want your sound to take center stage rather than when you want to blend in with everyone else. :)
