A Contract Penned by Quill- Pigeon TF Part 2/4
Onward and upward, or perhaps downward first... ^^

Walking along the dirt path, whistling vaguely, Rocky was pondering the bistro on 22nd street for lunch when a cheerful voice from behind him burst in on his thoughts of coffee, flatbread, and soup.
"Nice day for a walk, isn't it?" Rocky turned around. The voice's owner was a rather scrawny young fellow, sprawled on a bench just off the path. As Rocky turned his eyes upon him, he straightened up and assumed something of a more acceptable posture. The young man was carrying an earth-brown suit jacket over his arm and wore a matching waistcoat and trousers. They were all neatly pressed, but noticeably shabbier than Rocky's own ludicrously expensive attire. He wore a thin straw hat over slicked wavy black hair.
"Er- Yes, a fine day," Rocky responded suspiciously, unsure if he could keep walking without appearing rude, he half-turned, hoping that would indicate his disinterest in continuing the conversation. Apparently oblivious, the younger man smiled and leapt gracefully from the bench, extending a hand out to Rocky in greeting.
"Columby, of Columby Enterprises, isn't it? My name is Torrik Dovetail, a pleasure to meet you at last," He spoke swiftly and confidently, Rocky was immediately reminded of himself when he was younger. His handshake was firm, 'a good sign,' thought Rocky warily.
"Right, uh- Mr. Dovetail, what exactly can I do for you? This is hardly regular, and I do have an important appointment for lunch," he invented skillfully, flashing a cold challenging smile. Torrik's own smile faltered, but he hoisted it back quickly.
"Believe me, Mr. Columby, you won't regret listening to what I have to offer, but I'll be quick and succinct, just how you like your business dealings," The young man produced a briefcase from seemingly nowhere and shook open collapsible supports on it to set it, like a miniature card table, at chest level upon the ground. He flipped the latches, opened the case, and began rifling through the papers within. "Your empire is growing isn't it, sir?" He asked in a cheerful conversational tone as he worked.
"Faster than any other, yes," Rocky said, crossing his arms and tapping his foot impatiently.
"And certainly you are a progressive individual, always taking strides, two steps ahead, right?" Rocky didn't answer, he was quite sure he knew where this conversation was going and was not intent on taking the long road getting there. Dovetail finally emerged, clutching a stack of papers. Before he could speak Rocky held up a hand.
"Spare me the spiel will you? Just what is it that you're selling?" Rocky said icily. Dovetail laughed, still not discouraged in the slightest.
"Selling? Oh no, sir- I'm not looking to take away your money-" Rocky snorted "-No, really! I represent a branch of powerful investors, they're very interested in your company, Mr. Columby, they think you have an excellent prospect for the future, of all the other fledgling businesses out there you've really taken charge of the nest," Rocky was taken aback by this unexpected flattery, he flushed, but recovered with an insufferably pompous smile as he straightened his tie.
"Well, that is true," he said with ill-acted modesty, his nose in the air.
"Now we can help give you that push to fly. All I need... Is a signature," Dovetail said with a broad grin.

Well, first off, I like all the bird-based imagery peppered throughout the narrative, as well as the introduction of Mr.Dovetail (who I couldn't help as picture as someone akin to a certain traveling doctor, but that was but my interpretation to the character). Real heavy shrinking and transformation elements in the picture, and certainly digging it, as the clothes pile up around the former businessman...
And he may not like where this transformation is going, but I'm sure all of his problems will fly away X3
