Fantastic job by
Bagworm who did Gigari in a more Shamanistic fashion, which I prefer much more over her being a huntress that uses a bow. So I decided to retcon her old story and rewrite it to somewhat better fit her new look. I will be keeping the old story just in case people still want to read it.
Gigari was a wyvaran that grew up in a mountainous location, and she lived within a cave far from any civilization. Her parents were absent at a young age forcing her to survive on her own. She didn't have too much trouble with that, the cave she lived in had a pool of spring water cleaned and filtered when flowing through the rocky mountain, and she was careful when heading outside to collect various nuts and berries that grew near the bottom of the mountain. But one day, when she returned from her daily food-collecting, a woman wearing tattered dark clothes, golden adornments and the bones of animals sat against the wall inside the cave. Gigari approached the woman with caution, this was the first time something had entered her home, and she wasn't sure about the being's motives yet. The woman saw Gigari approaching, and she tried to stand but winced from some pain, making her sit down again. Gigari could tell the person was injured after seeing that, maybe she got hurt and took refuge within the cave, a few other thoughts crossed her mind, but she decided to help the injured lady.
The woman thanked Gigari for helping her, and once the lady noticed that Gigari lived alone decided to stay for a while and keep her company. That, while turned from one day to a few weeks to months to years, the lady planned to leave after the first day but grew fond of Gigari and always found herself coming back each day before deciding to live with her, Gigari did not mind this as she enjoyed the company. The lady later revealed that she was a shaman that had been chased out of her village by a group of knights. She was the last person who knew her ways of magic within her family, but she didn't wish for her traditions to die out and offered to teach Gigari how to become a shaman. Gigari accepted this as she liked the lady and wanted to continue seeing her. With a long time of teaching and learning, Gigari had become a novice shaman, the lady gave Gigari her jewelry and trinkets to wear, and the lady took a feathered skull she had on her side and offered it to Gigari to don.
The lady eventually died from the wound she got when she first met Gigari, the wound had been fatal, she kept herself going with the medicine she received and her own magic. But it was only a temporary fix that was able to keep her alive long enough to pass down her teachings to a new successor. Before she died she told Gigari to explore the world and do her best to live a happy life, she didn't wish for her closest friend to stay within a cave for eternity. Once Gigari buried her friend, she packed a small back of supplies and headed out to explore the world and what it had to offer, her friend may have died but she had many memories that would live on with her forever.
