The Grey one as the ancient powers of the multiverse describe is a very powerful element, at upholding Balance throughout the cosmos. Chaotic enough to allow for change and growth and yet orderly enough to use reason and planning. Being the most annoying by heroes and villians alike.

His job is fairly simple, he goes forth and brings balance to worlds and realities.

On one world where the Nazi's had taken over he was Doctor Blacken Grey, a scientist that gave the last of the freedom fighters the chance to create their own super soldiers to help continue the fight against the dark oppression on their world.

On another he was Lord Grey, a blood thirsty wizard that tempted the warriors of virtue into turning against their queen and taking the world back a step from universal peace.

On many other worlds he is generally found granting exactly what a person wants and desires, he is however careful who he offers his services too, after all he wants to create a balance of good and evil, Order and Chaos. While he wants to see growth and change he also wants to be sure the scales are always balanced along the path.

According the tales their are other faces of the keepers of balance, many had done insane and seek to create the perfect balance, nothingness throughout the multiverse, because of their fallings this makes Mr Grey just that much more powerful.
