Kind of figured her redesign for the comic was SEGA wanted more consistency with the character designs in the comics. Plus there is that whole mess with Penders which is probably why SEGA got more strict with the comics. It's definitely an odd design that could be better, but I kind of understand why.
Interesting thing is that there's some unused Sonic Forces concept art that had dragons as a considered species.
Still though, nice to see more art of her. ^^

I'm not even sure. Maybe they didn't have time or something. They had a lot of species in mind for the game.
