Heh. Definitely! I love pot stories... I have only a very few, and they really aren't all that exciting, just a nice bit of luck here and there.

That is awesome - I love the color combo of dark reds, purples and brass or old-gold.

Those are pretty much my favourite colours all in one batch- add in a deep cobalt blue and I'm a grinning fool. *chuckles* I've always wanted a pretty thing like this, but my neck is too thick and short for this kind of piece to work on well. If I get any more lace pieces like these, I'm definitely gonna make more of this sort of thing.

It's a little on the girly side for me, but damn if I'm not tempted.

*giggle* I made it. It's based on a real photograph- during the holidays, there's this boat parade that happens every year at Newport, and this was one of the "floats" (ack, bad pun). I saw it and immediately started cheering... I had to beg one of the guests at the party to send me a copy of his photos (he'd been taking snaps all night) so I could alter it "appropriately" (changed the three yellow bands across his middle to one bandolier, changed the belt from green to yellow, added in the big grin and made they eyes larger. Had to alter the cap, too- there was a big yellow feather on it). I'm a Toy Soldier, don'tcha know. >^___^< Dr. Steel FTW.

Well! I'm'a gonna have to school ya on him! He is our future World Emperor, of course! Builds robots, makes toys and shares his music with the world! Heh.

Seriously, though, Dr. Steel is the persona and band-name of a guy who is pretty awesome and creative artist. His whole gimmick is that he's this mad scientist/toy-maker who went, well... mad. And now, he wants to take over the world to create what he calls a Utopian Playland. The Toy Soldiers are his fan-base. Go to Youtube and put in "Dr. Steel" in the search box- guaranteed, you'll get a lovely list of his little broadcasts, most of his music videos and so on. They're a treat, especially if you like Industrial/Punk/Tom Waits kind of music. To get an idea of what his stuff sounds like, take a carnival, a strong dash of Tom Waits, a little Primus and a nice dusting of Punk and Steampunk sensibility, and blender all that together- voila! Dr. Steel. >^___^> The guy's stuff is melodious, fun, silly, occasionally profound ("Drop the Bomb" and "We Decide") and surprisingly a lot of fun to dance to.

No kidding! I certainly wouldn't want anyone to be choking while wearing this! *chuckles* The band in the back with the clasp is made of elasticized ribbon, so it should only hold gently, not tightly.
