Here's Part 2 of my overly gluttonous pred permavore story! Previous Part | Next Part
With Kyler tucked away in his belly, Professor August searches for Derek to serve as his second course...
Permanent Detention (Part 2)

Derek scowled as he skimmed the tomes on the bookcase. Many lacked titles on the side, either blank or merely sporting initials or symbols that meant little to the gryphon. He used a wand, not tomes, so his knowledge was proving woefully limited.
Almost at random he pulled one that looked more worn than the others around it. The binding creaked as he opened it and flipped through the pages. It seemed to be related to phases of the moon and rituals, but his eyes glazed over at the details. He added it to the small pile he’d gathered.
“Ugh, there’s so much here, how can they all be rare!” Derek grumbled. “At least with wands you can feel the magic coming off it. If the info was wrong I swear I’m having venison!”
Watching from the shadows, August could only shake his head in disappointment. There were many treasures in that section of the library, but not all were necessarily valuable to anyone who wasn’t researching magic. Even at a distance August could tell Derek had only managed to pick out a couple of truly worthwhile tomes. They were still too dangerous to let fall into the hands of whatever black market dealer the students would find.
Which meant the professor was even more justified in turning the would-be thieves into snake fat.
The room was too open for August to simply sneak up on Derek like he had Kyler. He’d be slowed down by his large middle, as well. In a straight fight he felt confident he could take out the gryphon, but it’d be a horrendous hassle. And there was a chance Liam could be alerted, too, further complicating matters.
Mages were resourceful, though. August remembered Derek had always struggled against manipulation magic in class. He couldn’t shake off novice suggestion spells at all. August had actually taken advantage of that weakness in the past, manipulating the gryphon into eating problem students without him ever realizing the impulse was implanted in him.
August drew a bright blue sigil in the air with his tail. It glowed and fell to the floor without a sound, rolling itself up until it was almost snake-like. It then slithered off in Derek’s direction.
The gryphon had just picked out a powerful summoning grimoire when the sigil struck. It latched itself to Derek’s tail, startling him in the process. He dropped the tome, and turned to face whatever had attacked, but by the time he did his gaze was aimless. He slumped over a little, his thoughts blank.
“You really should’ve taken my advice and worked on that pesky limitation of yours,” August said as he made his way to the helpless gryphon. “I didn’t see any resistance to the sigil—you were hypnotized right away.”
Derek didn’t respond, as if oblivious to the fact he was being insulted or talked to at all.
“And stealing tomes, really? I knew you were a petty bully and shook down other pupils for gold, but this is much even for you. Why did you think you could pull this off?” August asked, shaking his head.
“Liam said it’d be easy,” Derek replied, almost mumbling. While hypnotized he’d be compelled to answer any question August asked. “Swipe some books, eat any witnesses, drown in gold.”
August scoffed. “I think you both overestimated how much you’d make. You’d have been swindled at best, eaten at worst. Guess I’ll be cutting out the middle-man there.” He laughed and gave his gut an idle rub. Kyler was still fighting him. “So, was Reid the only one you ate as part of your dumb little ploy?”
Derek nodded. “Stuffed him so well I had to enchant my robe up a size to fit after,” he managed to gloat. “Gonna do the same to Kyler once we’re back at the dorms. More gold that way.”
The curse from within August’s gut was fierce, and the snake laughed. “Well Kyler, I guess you were just fated to end up as food for someone tonight.” His attention turned back to Derek. “Why don’t you make it up to your friend in here by giving my belly a nice, long massage before you join him?”
Derek complied without protest, swiftly beginning to rub the big gut of his professor. He kneaded and squeezed the bulge that was Kyler, leaving no inch of the scaley middle untouched. He was a natural at it.
“I should—mmmmm—really do this more often,” August said with glee as his belly was doted on by the hypnotized gryphon. “You’re doing great, just keep softening Kyler up for me. Saves my stomach the effort~”
He allowed the massage to continue for a few minutes more, always listening out for Liam just in case. The red panda didn’t show, though. By then August was eager to have his massage continue on the inside.
“Alright Derek, that’s enough. Now it’s time for you to be a good, reliable snack and join Kyler in detention. Get in my belly!” The snake slapped his middle, smiling wide.
Of course Derek didn’t resist. With as much forced enthusiasm as ever he offered up his talons. They were swiftly swallowed, along with his arms, and then his beak. He didn’t fight or struggle like Kyler had. His only wiggles were meant to hasten his descent.
Kyler backed up against the wall of the stomach as Derek began emptying into it. He hit the gryphon hard on the head, both out of spite and the hope he’d somehow snap him out of the spell. He remained dopey.
The dark space quickly became cramped, Kyler squeezed between flesh and gryphon. Only when it’d been filled did it stretch to continue accommodating the second course.
August’s belly was swelling in every direction. It sagged further past his knees, twice as wide as he was. He grasped at it with his claws, holding it up as best he could but barely managing. Had he not used his tail to brace it up he’d have toppled over from the sheer weight of it. The snake moaned around the legs of his meal, eyes rolling from the experience of utter gluttony. He was beyond full, but he needed the rest of Derek to be in his stomach.
His desire was granted shortly after, when the gryphon’s paws vanished from sight.
“Damn, it’s been too long since I doubled up on meals!” August said, blissfully. His gut was a boulder, more than twice as large as he was. And within were trapped two of his own students, ready to be churned. No, they’d stopped being students the minute they’d slid down his throat. They were just food now, meals that could fight back a bit more than a roll or bowl of soup. They’d given up their status as anything else when they’d failed to escape his hunger.
With considerable effort August lugged his enormous belly over to the table Derek had been using, and leaned back against it. It groaned and creaked beneath his weight, but held. Standing was still difficult, even then, but it was manageable. And admittedly the struggle to stay up excited August. Detriment was just more proof he’d glutted, that he’d eaten more than was necessary. Far more.
Looking at the immensity of his belly, August blushed. Its size was ridiculous, plain and simple. No one needed to eat so much in one sitting. And yet he’d gladly cram another two or three people into his gut, until he filled the whole room. If only the ambitious idiots had had more accomplices! Course he had overheard Derek make a threat about venison. A certain deer came to mind, though they clearly weren’t in the library. Something he’d need to look into, perhaps.
August was far too big to cradle his gut anymore, or even really rub it in a meaningful way. Instead he just pressed at it, pushing his claws in as firmly he could, feeling the prey within.
Kyler grunted. He’d been forced into the very pit of August’s stomach by Derek’s entry. The gryphon was on top of him, pressing him into the pool of stomach acids that’d been slowly getting deeper and deeper. They weren’t stinging him yet, but it was a bath he didn’t enjoy in the least.
Scared and furious, Kyler could do little else but lash out at the stomach and the hypnotized “friend” atop him. “Dude I can’t believe you were going to eat me! I knew I should’ve swallowed you when you were passed out in our room last year after you’d gotten fat eating drunks at the tavern! You were so damn juicy and filling but no, I had to hold back because you were fun to hang out with.”
His tirade bounced off Derek, who was simply awaiting his next order from August.
“You know what? Better late than never!”
Kyler roughly wrangled Derek into position, and shoved the gryphon’s beak into his mouth. He swallowed furiously, intent on one final meal before he was gurgled.
As the movement within his stomach abruptly picked up, August stifled a belch. At first he thought it was Derek snapping out of his hypnosis and struggling, but no kicks or punches seemed aimed at his stomach in particular. The belches continued, a few of Derek’s feathers flying from his mouth in the process. He gripped the sides of the table firmly, finding the shaking of his gut rather enjoyable. He moaned and giggled, lazily eying the odd bulges breaking the surface of his belly from time to time.
As suddenly as it’d started, the squirming ceased. August felt less points of contact against his stomach walls, almost as if he’d lost a meal somehow. When the truth finally clicked, he laughed hard enough to wobble his gut.
“I do appreciate a meal who stuffs themself for me,” August said, rubbing his gut. “Course I wouldn’t want you to miss out on the squirms of a good snack.” With a thought he dispersed the sigil he’d placed on Derek, snapping the gryphon back to reality.
Kyler groaned as his tranquil, bulging belly began to wobble, muffled curses echoing from within. He wasn’t about to admit it did feel better having Derek aware of his fate now. “So, Derek. I hear you were gonna eat me?” He snickered bitterly as he squeezed down hard on his middle.
Above, August let out a gut-rumbling burp. More feathers flew out, and so did Derek’s wand, which had come loose during his second trip down a gullet. It clattered to the floor, soaked in saliva and surrounded by feathers.
“And to think I’ve still got dessert left,” August mused. “Though catching it is going to take some effort.”
