So poor
has been waiting for his tail for a while- it got interrupted for prepping for FC... Anyway, I do have some of it done, and he wanted to see the progress. There is a glitch with the part near the tip where it keeps twisting and this is driving me up the wall, since the pattern-pieces should be symmetrical. Argh. I may have to re-do the length... AGAIN. Anyway, the part I THOUGHT would give me the most grief (tail-spade) came together with hardly a hitch. Bizarre how things work out, sometimes.
Oh, and a neat thing I discovered recently: that black scaly is slightly iridescent. Especially under flourescent lights. O___o So cool... And the material inside the tail-spade is actually a rich purple, not that blackish stuff you see in the pic. I couldn't get it to show up, no matter how I tried...

*blushes* Thanks sweetie. I was a little worried. I get all nervous over my work, sometimes... Stuff just doesn't look as good to me as it does to everybody else. Heck, I've heard of Dysmorphic Disorder (where you think you're ugly, even when it's obvious you're not), but I'm not sure what a belief in the total inadequacy of one's artwork would be called... either than perfectionism. Heh.
