Zipper is...well. He’s Zipper. No one knows where he came from, and he certainly isn’t telling. If he even remembers. The earliest anyone knows, he was locked away in prison. His records were destroyed so there isn’t any clue how or why he ended up in there, but he was obviously in there for many years. He escaped during a mysterious event that completely disabled the compound and never looked back.

Either he was put in there because he was deranged or the years of being locked away in complete darkness and silence drove him mad. He is almost childlike, constantly excited and surprised by everything, but as a child in a long, gangly body, he can be somewhat of a danger to himself and others. He is constantly cheerful and as hyper and energetic as they come. He develops attachments easily, selecting certain rocks or sticks to become his most treasured objects and refusing to let them out of his sight. He gets distracted very easily, but on the other hand once he gets an idea in his head he will carry it out to its end, come hell or high water.
