I got the idea when I went to my family's annual 'Christmas reunion' down in the old Fresno house two months ago. It was fun, the childhood charm that I haven't had in ages was there. I loved the old house, it always had something special in my memories. But once everyone left, the novelty wore off - fast. I noticed how run-down the place really was and was left thinking how much has changed. This drawing represents a combination of how it looked like from memory (bookshelf items exempt) and what it really was (Yes, the house did have uneven natural lighting), looking from the living room to the kitchen.

I have to say, I enjoyed doing the bookcase.
