we got snow around 10 pm xmas eve..... and now its melting......and that is not NORMAL for where I live. i live almost next to canada! the only thing between my state and canada is lake superior!!! and we had snow JUST for xmas day and that day ONLY o_o its like wtf- seriously no snow at all this winter, colder than hell out, but no snow, only ice
lol XD well im not sure what is normal for where you live so :P
usualy we get snow here, but yea, this winter isnt to kind-
freezing cold temps, ice from the melted snow and rain
its so cold that it can rain and not be snow but turns to ice when it hits the ground- quite litterally and yes XD i can skate with my street shoes/skateboard shoes on all the way to my bfs house wich is a mere 5 minutes from mine and that's scary.....though i can't say i can make it off my property and into the road and down that hill/road without sliding on my rump because i never can stand up long enough to atempt to even walk by putting one foot in front of the other, just one step and im on the ground

what's funnier yet, my boyfriend can walk down it just fine as if he was normaly walking along w/o a care in the world, he even ran down the stupid ice hill and never fell and his shoes were worse than mine.
his were completely stupid- the souls were melted together/flat because they were old shoes and we were going out to the fire pit area at our friends anyway- hence how they got melted (from kicking burning logs back into the fire) - his were so shiny they looked like the waxed botom of a plastic sled.
Mine? 60$ Skater/street shoes w/ a clear rubber bottom that was sticky when warm and stuck nicely when wet to tile or laminate flooring. Unfortunatly I can't say the same for ice.
so a crappy worn out melted down 20$ or less pair of shoes does better than 60$ worth of tacky rubber and real leather.
ES skate shoes = beat down by a crappier than crap cheep brand- how sad! o_o
