there's really a lot of the character that doesn't translate well into 3D, being lighting tricks.....

also, shouldn't she be ultra-pale, now that i think about? she was always borderline albino pale in the comics.

Yeah, the shadow her hood casts on her face in the comics is almost impossible unless I paint the shadow on her face or something.

In the cartoon, her skin is like a pale gray. From the reference pics I looked at for her comic appearance, it looked like she had a fairly normal skin tone. I did try to make her a little paler than normal, but maybe she just looks that way on my monitor.
