Standard pattern and the annihilator is the twin lascannons, like the space marine tank.

I don't use the varient pattern hulls, seem a waste to me personally.

It could be if we were playing cityfight (aka Cities of Death), but we were, honestly if it came down to it then it just used the rear of the russ as a ramp, those things are strudy enough.

Fluffwise, sure. Game wise, not really, but I believe they state in the deployment rules that you can place a unit if they could logically get here in the first place.
