Good evening citizens, this is Talia Newton reporting
As the winter storm is finally starting to clear, reports are coming in on the invasion. While our forces managed to secure more of the Jurtonian mountain range creating a better border against the orks of the northern waste it seems that the Imperium was busy against the Tau as we have confirmed reports that they now own Port Marna as well as most of the Oda Wastes. The rebels still hold Port Tyrion and Station Lyall but Senior Tactican Gernor informed the us that the securing of the mountain range took priority with the Imperials on the move. Lt Col Steponas still holds to his promise to take the Station by 800, but with only a few weeks left we can only hope he makes good on his boost.
In other news it seems that the war has taken to the skies above our homeworld. On day 758 our defensive force lead by Captain Karlania of Feltorin’s fleet managed to repel an Imperial battle group and capture the transports they were to deliver to their forces here. The weapons and armourments captures are to be used in the defense of our home once they clear inspection. Karlania was decorated with the Molov Star and crews of the vessels that fought in the battle the received unit citations for their actions in destroying several vessels including the battleship Immolation of Impurity. However we were not without our loses, squadrons Beta and Zeta were taken out of action as well as the light cruiser Grey Lion. Lord Governor Vartiter has tasked Admiral Marc Augusta with tracking down the rest of the Imperial fleet and destroy it as quickly as possible.

My Noble Lord,
I regret to inform you of our failed entry into the Molov system, the enemy forces were more prepared then the Admiral had expected.
We have faired no better apparantly then our counterparts on the ground...but we are still a viable force. My former request that Admiral Caderyne be
returned to his former command still stands, as well as the return of the rest of the sister ships of the fleet. This is especially in light of the lack of cohesive tactics on the part of our scraped together assault fleet.
Despite heavy losses, we were able to withdrawal in good order, with enough ships to return to the fight in reasonable time. Admiral Perecles was lost on board the squadrons flagship, Immolation of Impurity. The enemy focused much of their fire upon her before she was able to add much to the battle, which is regretable.
Her hulk would have been captured by the rebels if not for the sacrifice of Commander Natalya Gelwyn, who broke ranks to destroy the hulk and as many of the enemy as possible to afford us a moment to escape. I do not know the fate of the Commander or her crew. The Emperor protects his own though.
I am formally requesting replacement for the Sulian, and that her name be ranked upon fleet registers as lost in combat.
May the Emperor bless us all,
With respect,
Captain Vulgan Stirling
In a room overlooking the majesty of Hive Olwenus, a group of men in a variety of uniforms relaxed in the light of the dawning sun. Several servants and aids move to and fro replacing refreshments and bring in updated reports from the front. One of the middle aged gentlemen in a grey military cut dress picked up a recently deposited data slate and shook his head and took a sip of his ruby colored drink before announcing his find to the gathering.
“So they took the Oda Wastes.”
“And the Imperials took Port Marna and the manufactorum near by.” an older man in a like uniform, his brown hair streaked in grey added.
“Better them the Zeirham, so how is the Operation Jotlen coming along?”
“We have the material, just need to push the front. I’m confident we can do this in the projected time table
“Next order of business is the Colonel, how is our guest?”
“He is doing well, we even managed to secure a NAP with his division for his safe return after the war or when we can use them to gain ground, a trump card if you will. Plus we’ll teach them how to fight the rebels, give them a better chance to get our targets out of their hands.”
An aid steps up to Gernor and whispers in his ear before handing the tactician a data slate. He looks angrily aid then at the data slate, the furrows in his brow deepened. The others looked at him expectantly.
“It seems that Central is sending us aid, the Rio Vista 8th armored, they will arrive by 807.”
“The Rio Vista 8th? The Suns of Paxtuentian, I thought we couldn’t have their kind here, too close to the imperial space, figured the machanicus would declare us techo-heretica for owning so many of their ‘relics’? commented one of the commanders
“They already did that at Tryphan, for what reason we still don’t know, but its too late for that now. Guess the gloves are coming off.” grumbled the older commander.
