What you see. I actually pried myself away from the 'puter! So I could go shootin' with the Tucson Mob. 'Twas the best use we could think of for the last of the cool weather. My thanks to all for a great time. And yes, if and when I get me a car, I think it'll be a truck.

It's mine. It was made by casting bronze over a steel barrel-liner (this makes it extremely strong) in the 1950's. It was then shipped off to a South American military school where it was a salute gun. I bought it about two years ago, for four thousand dollars. It has a 1.73 inch bore, perfect to fire a gold ball wadded with one thickness of paper towel. It looks like crap just now, I have to re-oil the carriage.
I know there are no federal restrictions on black powder muzzleloading cannons, but have you encountered any local stipulations to be aware of? I live across the country from you, but I'm just curious to hear about what you know. I've thought about getting myself a cannon one day.
Overall there are lots of black powder organisations all over the country. Note me, and I'll send you some links to cannon websites. In AZ we can own ANYTHING we want as long as we can pass the background checks and afford the goodies. So, other than safety safety safety, no, no real stipulations to report.
Of course you've also got about a bazillion miles of nothing and outback and dreamland and open space between cities, so you have enough room to drag 5,6,20 trailers behind you, and you can have a cab with enough room for two drivers and their families, as well as a full kitchen, due to the fact of the miles and miles of noting between towns.
The truckers tried to get the three-trailered semis to be allowed outside the 'mountain states' (where it is useful to have the extra capacity on the long runs between towns out there) and bring them to the urban areas (where the roads are in almost constant need of repair due to the heavy traffic). naturally there was a big argument about adding the 'road trains' to the congested highways alongside all the cars. and the added wear and tear that those behemoths would cause on the already strained roadways.
I don't deny that road trains look cool, and they must be a blast to drive in the right areas, but there are places they just don't belong, the same way a Pontiac Firebird doesn't belong on a Jeep trail.

I'm bettin' that the AK's are semi's unless one o' the boys has a Class A(?) dealer's lic. ...hell they're cheaper in Unindustrialized third world nations (amerika being the bigest industrialized third world nation...SIGH!)
From a the demo's I've seen assault auto's are over rated...tho' they do tend to make yuh wanna keep your head down!
As for the babies...eh; "I want my , bady-back, baby-back, baby-back ribs!" Didn't Johnathan Swift already do a modest proposal? *Big Smirk!*

The two Krinkovs in the top photo belong to me (left hand) and Shep, (right hand) We had them built by a local Machinegun Dealer. They are semi-automatic and Federally registered as they are short barreled rifles. I would challenge you and your nailgun any day. I repeatedly nailed a football sized target with full mags at several hundreds of feet with no problems, and I was just plinking. Conservative Americans like this kinda stuff, especially us Zonies.
(I have abnormally didn't stop from growing in height, and I don't intend to, either) 2 meters? 1.90? Whatever height you are, here I come. (meters are easier than feet, since they are... metric. If you want a conversion for 2.0 and 1.9 meters, it's 6.56 feet for 2m and 6.23 feet for 1.9m)
That's not a problem. REM (Roentgen Equivalent Man) is the product of Rads (absorbed radiation) with the weighting factor. For standard radiation (by standard, I mean the one emited by fissioning nucleus, such as uranium fission or X-rays), the weighting factor is 1, so REMs are equal to Rads.
I was at the ISDC 2009 in Orlando and I discussed with Dewar about an american project, rocketry and stuff (and got a book in the process to read). I brought up the change in SI units to him and he was both surprised and pissed off at the same time.

When I saw karno at FC he stood between 11 and 22 feet tall and spoke with the voice of god unto moses.
He was selling naughty drawings and the keys to the gates of eden.
We parted ways, me with an arm load of comics and cds and he with nearly all of my blood and a full days pay.
It's an experience one can't remember to forget.

You guys ever bring out creative targets to shoot at? Considering there is not much out there, I'd bring stuff like cutouts.
For the cannon, I'd make a little dirt, rock, or some breakable and cheap material fort to set up and destroy with the cannon, just for kicks. Hell, if there is sand out there, make a little sand-castle if you can and blow it up.

spent cartridges casings and used rounds are gradually becoming a major health and environmental concern as the accumulated metal enters groundwater systems and gradually spreads throughout the water table.

I say we should thus declare war on the water tables of North America. they've 'under-mined' our way of life for far too long!
