"I did not ask the size of the room, I said I cast Fireball"
A lovely gift from [user/]TesterTheDog[user] by [user/]thelivingtrashcan[user] of my, Ex-Dragonborn Sorcerer from DnD.
Now the story behind this fella, being naturally gifted for the arcane he was enlisted to practise and study under his clan's elder Sorcerer. One fateful day his master was struck with a misterius illness not even the most apt clerics of the clan could heal, as he slowly withered away. In his deathbed the master gifted Salazar a ring shaped likea dragon with an emerald on it's back, a relic passed down from sorcerer to sorcerer signaling that his duty as the clan's sorcerer would soon begin.
However, amongst all the pressure and esponsibility, something called to him... a femenine voice beckoning him to go out and explore the world, he tried to resist it, his duty and obligations holding him back... but eventually he submitted to this, almost primal, desire and fled his clan the day before his official declaration as the new clan sorcerer.
After some traveling, he was running low on gold until he stumbled with them, a peculiar group, a paladin, a cleric, a warlock and a fighter. Being down in fortune he asked them if they might require the abilities of one such as him, the group agreed and took him in. It appeared they were currently employed by a local noble but it was clear their true alligiance was to a Goddess, they called her Avadria, a spider Goddess of change and fate.
After some, quests and errands for this Goddess... Salazar heard.. that voice again.. though it felt different, stronger, more dominant. Her words echoed and boomed in his head.. he could hear them cleary but he understood them perfectly. This was the voice... of Tiamat. The Evil Dragon Queen wanted to take control of this sorcerer, use him as a pawn in a much larger scheme, the group hacing noticed this eventually decided to go on a journey towards a metallic dragonborn for aid in dispelling Tiamat's influence from him.
The trip was a long one and the forces of Tiamat tried to stop the group from accomplishing their goal, but eventually the followers of Ava succeded in their task. The whole ordeal lead to Salazar and the paladin, Alboth, forging a strong intimate bond. On their return Salazar pledged himself to Avadria in a ritual that involved the physical transformation of his being as his legs fused and legthen into a long tail, and colorful feathers grew from between his scales now reborn in the service of Ava.
