Good evening citizens, this is Talia Newton reporting
Governor Vartiter has declared tomorrow day 712 a hive holiday as the enemy assault was repulsed by the combined forces of Fangtar’s space marines and the Molov home guard. The warhound Geri was grievously wounded but is under the care of our fair hive’s best artificers who expect to have him good as new in a few days. Lt Commander Algimas Steponas of the 322nd announced that it was time for the home guard to take action, and his petition to take our forces to the front was ratified by the council this morning. The decision was primarily based on the regiment’s actions during the siege.
Recording of the gruff Lt commander Steponas:
“While the wolves have done much for us in these trying times, it is now our turn to take back our world from these invaders.”
In other news, sources have confirmed that the marine presence at Port Tryion was a feint, however forces under the rebel human army of Primier Romanov have taken the port, Station Lyall, and the Aghamora power station as they say, in the name of The Peoples’ Republic of Zierier. Forces are being dispatched to take the spaceport as soon as possible. The task force will also be responsible for retaking the manufactium facility on the Utarila river. The frigate Ona Grea reported a successful destruction of an ork stronghold on the south bank of the river. Hopefully with this test of new precision strike system more of our troops can be saved as the navy takes a greater support role in this war.

“We were close to losing that battle, if the Eldar had not left it could have been a rout.” Alton said as he rubbed his temple. The assembled groups’ faces looked deathly ill in the dark strategium, the holo-lith of the last battle had just finished playing.
“Now we hear of dissenters in the area the Templars’ were to be holding. As much as I would love to let the orks tear them apart they are control some vital equipment that we can’t have falling into xenos hands.” Fangtar growled. He tapped a few controls on the holo-lith table and grid map of the continent replaces the battle scared landscape. The room brightened slightly as the ceiling lights returned to life.
“Did we find out what happened with the Ona Grea?” Alton asked as he took a seat, his knees were giving him trouble again. The whine of servo’s proceeded the answer as Nero Ironguard, the wolves head Iron Priest, looked towards the aging tactician, “It seems that one of the guard regiments cracked an older code we were using, it was still in the rotation block and servoyor scans of the target zone confirmed the report. Captain Demetrio made the decision to fire the bombardment.”
“We got reports of a battle that ensued afterwards, even with the complete destruction of the base, the orks still managed to repulse the attack. So either the commander that attacked was incompetent or the orks are craftier then we think.” Algimas smirked. He was betting on the commander since recon of the area showed the dead were from one of the Imperial regiments. One that the wolves beat easily before the siege.
“I’m more inclined to think the greenskin is craftier, remember the Waugh of 893, Warlord Tuska Joint managed to sack three systems before our forces finally brought him to heel. He used lightning strikes on multiple flanks to breach our defenses. With a small force he managed to take us on even at times when we out-numbered him. This wasn’t the mass horde of other greenskin attacks or the tyranid incursion of Sector X.” Alton leaned back in his plush seat, his hands stempled in front of him. They have weathered their first storm, this campaign was heading south and they needed an actual victory to help turn the tide.
GM Notes: Next conquest roll will be on 01/23, included with this are pictures from the siege battle and two short stories from Doug.
