So, today I wanted to share an exciting news! new graphic tablet, yay!
My boyfriend REALLY wanted to surprise me this year with his christmas gift, and he DID!
This is a custom made graphic tablet with screen, based on a Huion!
For six month, he actually did research, searched components, made 3d models of this and then manufactured it!
Then, two days ago when I went to his home, he offered it to me in pieces, and we put it together, it was awesome.
And like you can see, it works beautifly well: D
He said nothing when offering this to me, but I suspect this is his way to say: "Get back on drawing, you bitch!"
Well ... I can't say I don't want to draw, anymore :p

It doesn't have touch control at all unfortnuately, it work thanks to the ~1cm track height of the Huion tablet and because the lcd panel has no metal backplate (signals can go through). Trying to write on the LCD itself would harm it so there is a 3mm plexiglass panel on top of it (1.2mm would be better for the tracking but I couldn't get a panel in time for christmas), this remove the possibility of a LCD+touchscreen panel. Another alternative would be a standalone touchscreen panel on top of the plexiglass but I couldn't find any that was the size of this screen or that had a reasonnable price.
I still need to figure out a few things on paper and then I'll make proper instruction/models to make it open source on Instructables, for people to DIY it or maybe even improve it.
