-Hands!
-Proper render!
Rendering only takes a couple of seconds per figure now and the viewport is fully glitch free and smooth, phew
-still to do: LOTS
I am looking forward to rigging this, woo

nice, reminds me of a base character mesh I did recently but I couldn't do individual digits like thise because of iphone limitations. >.<
Looks nice, it would be cool to see a wire frame :D
Was it a stylistic thing to have four toes but five fingers?
And yay, rigging in max is a lot easier than maya,at least that is this otter's opinion. X3

Oh I haven't even delved into putting limitations xP I see some people do flat fingers, one or two-sided (depending if backfaces are available)
made one for ya here; http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3434521/ I plan to actually do a face for it, and more polys might be added to the belly
no, it's a racial trait :P
yes but Maya is more powerful, isn't it?

Oh, no need for limitations if it isn't going to a low powered platform, so no probs there :D
Thanks for posting the wire-frame. looks pretty clean except for what you already said was the belly, also use the edges on the front of the the calf to follow the height of the muscle on that plane from where the end of the hip to the knee.
I thought it might have been a character design thing, are they like an alien species or is it something else?
I know you said you're planning on rigging and that there's a lot more you want to do with it, are you also planning on adding more edge loops on where the bone joints will be?

Thank you, those are some useful crits!
Yes I need more loops everywhere, only the hands, feet and pelvis are worked well on, and even so the fingers probably need loops to deform. I hope the shoulder is okay, I've only ever rigged one figure - in extreme low poly to learn!
Yes, but they are not very alien, just elf-like. Some of them have 4 toes I decided at some point, I like how cats have that so I use it now and then, I wanted the foot to be symmetrical as well but that looked weird.. it still looks stiff too, need some tweaking on them toes
The character on the left http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3331692 so I need more shape to the arms and stuff

oh yeah, and I consider max far better but the whole max/maya thing is like the mac/pc thing it's kind of another nerdy pissing contest XD Knowing both is good but still find the one you like the most. I love max the most because of the structure of everything is all stacking based so I can see a lot more happening to it while maya is all node based so you're not getting a visual que for some of the settings or things you set up >.< though maya is far better for unrwapping and animation I still prefer max :D
