A Sunset Kind of Dragon
Another lame sketch that for some reason got too much attention last summer. I wanted to try sunset lighting and although Im not thrilled with the lineart, I think I did a pretty good job for my first attempt <3 I wish I would have made the mountains a bit depthier in back x..o
You cant tell but he's actually quite a ways off the ground, letting him overlook the entire village and out over the horizon to the sunset <3

Nice pic ^^ Though, and here's helpful criticism time, his arm is a little off-putting for me. There's nothing glaringly wrong with it, but it's that I look at it and I can't figure out where the elbow is that sort of makes me blink when I look at it longer. It's one part I can't figure out where the elbow is and the other part how ramrod straight his arm is for the relaxed state his face belies. This of course might all just be me, but if I let my arms hang relaxed at my side they don't straighten perfectly. They slant at the elbows forming a mild angle. I have to force my arm to be perfectly straight and at that point it's no longer relaxed, and the most natural feeling of straightening them fully is to form my hands into fists as if I were angry/determined in a classic anime posture.
