I love that the micro cam is a Nikon. It's also amusing that the memory stick is just a couple of megs.

26 meg, actually, but that's still nothing today. In 1993 it was almost an unimaginable amount to be squeezed onto a magnetic strip on a credit card.

It's crazy, really. Unless it's completely outside of the remotest of possibilities, sci-fi always ends up looking dated because of the push of technology, eh?

Seems to be so. Today I'm a little cannier, so if I were projecting a futuristic memory, it would be something like 1,000,000,000 Gig. Call it a Gigagig. In ST:TNG they just made up something -- terraquads or some other nifty sounding BS.
