This is Nyeregs, a Bernese Mountain Dog whom I ferried back from Maglod, Hungary. This was his first car ride, and he had no idea that he was about to embark on a flight to California. I fed him his favorite food (spaetzle) during the trip to solidify our friendship. Luckily, but inexplicably, his Hungarian owner refered to him as "Poofy" which is good due to my inability to accuratley pronounce his real name. Poofy had no problems with the journey and is happily ensconsed in his new home. I think he misses the snow. And his mother's home made hortobagyi palacsinta...
