Between the First Askharian Civil War, which put the Quark "Republic" (actually Orwellian dictatorship) in power, and the Second, which has seen its hedonistic leadership executed by plasma cannons, the saurians were entangled in a slow-burning thirty year insurgency. At its height, nearly every notable power in the galactic north has somehow 'contributed' to the ongoing dumpster fire - either by selling materiel to the Republic in exchange for slave barges of 'indentured servants', or evading its border patrols to deliver much-needed aid to the insurgent Blue Frontier.
And the fighting itself was unpleasant as a post-FTL war gets - the democratic resistance couldn't hope to match their enemies' automated warfleets, so this was a planetary conflict through and through. While the raptors have hoped to use superior firepower or infiltration to achieve their goals, it took months for this to devolve into the ruling regime erasing grid squares from orbit, and the insurgency burying their enemies in so very many small fluffy bodies. Ain't war heck?

Aw, thanks! I have a bunch of assorted lore for these guys but it's very disorganized, so it's nice to condense some of it in little snippets like these :>

Yep! With the right mods you can even make them super-cute fluffy-dinos.

Well, the basegame plus core DLCs should be on sale come winter and there's a very fancy free update coming out in February-ish! Could be a nice time to get into playing space foxes c: (they're more like space fennecs but still very fancy)
