A rendering of Lana's hometown, the Vamprius Amazon Village.
The amazons, a race of female bat warriors live in a village to the south of Rhodia kingdom. They dress and fight much like the amazons from greek mythology. You could say they are an entire race of Xenas. Like the traditional amazons, they are highly misandric meaning they hate males and the traditional family structure.
Foxglove and Weep wander into the village late one night looking for the third power stone (mcguffin). They get caught in a trap and are imprisoned by the amazons for conspiracy to steal the power stones and well, just for being males.
The Amazon Queen Lana doesn't like Foxglove and Weep at first. But once she learns Blag and The Rat Pack have taken the power stone, she goes after him instead, Sentencing Foxglove and Weep to be sacrificed by the fire spirits.
The setting for the village was very much inspired by the amazons in 'Xena: Warrior Princess', films such as 'The Blair Witch Project' and 'The Wicker Man'. Wicker, clay and wood are a common motif throughout the village. It is a village of natural beauty despite the ugly hatred that lies beneath.
