Merry Christmas to benjipaws
Who's gift was a long time coming, I haven't said this but I've been a fan of Benji for afew good years now & a big fan of the characters he created, I've talked to him in some servers & he's a really really great person & it's was really great to have the pleasure of meeting him, so I've been holding onto the idea to making something for him for months & I honestly didn't think it would be possible since my PC crashed but thanks to me training myself to draw with IbisPaintX I made it work ÒwÓ.
His Avatar being wrapped up & his paws mercilessly tickled unable to escape as his laughter grows, the feather moving so fast to make his toes curl & wiggle, it was the perfect scenario~.
So about the picture itself:
I was originally gonna have it take place in a more traditional Santa's workshop, with red & green along with walls, wooden carved tabled with toys on them with mistletoe all around, Christmas trees from left to right but it didn't really work out that way. I unintentionally had a color aesthetic going on with the Green & Purple & didn't want to falter with it, so I made everything purple & green to follow up on that aesthetic & it worked out in the end.
Another idea I had for the background was a fireplace but it came clear to me that there wouldn't be enough room for one so I scrapped the idea entirely, it was a surprise knowing how small this picture was compared to the other picture I made with the app I was using, the phone only crashed once & my stress levels were high as the sky itself when creating this, the ear of Benji's character was especially pretty difficult to draw & put in the right area.
The tail was also Abit of a chore cause I really wanted to show it off but also show that it was wrapped up like the rest of him, so I did Abit of a blend where the top of it was wrapped up while half of it was popping out from the button & looked like it was slipping through cause you can't hold a fluffy tail like that back.
His hair was fun to color, I absolutely love how Benji colors his characters hair to where the look Extra Fluffy & I wanted to reflect that in the picture, I also did the same with the ear so you'll have to zoom in to see it I think, also still pretty new are the Arches of the Paws.
The Angle of which I had them had me thinking there wasn't space to draw the arches but luck was on my side & I drew them to be shown off in all their glory, Full Paw Detail Yay OwO//!!!
