I cannot remember for the life of me where I asked this question before, but I remember asking it. Tina, at least at this point in time, doesn’t know how to get out of deep mud after doing this a lot?
Well I imagine not wanting to lose her shoes is part of the problem, but Kritter Fox sure does make her look like an amateur, especially with how messy he can get more so than Tina. Talk about outclassed.

It's safe to say she's not acquired that much expertise with deeper stuff since at the time I was almost exclusively drawing her just muddying up her shoes. If she got into anything deeper it was by accident (admitting as much on page 16) just that she didn't get bent out of shape over it.
Also of note is that Kritter got stuck too. He was just willing to lie down in order to extricate himself and Tina wasn't, hence his allowing her to climb on his back (and his quite apparent delight at the prospect of being pushed down into the mud).

Had to go back and read her dialogue and read your bottom descriptions again, but yeah, Tina and you seem to confirm that she had been in deep mud before and does acknowledge how deep they can get and how to escape.
The problem was she didn’t want to mess up her clothes or lose her shoes. X’D
