11-27-19 [Pobop: Some Low-Lying Valley Cusp Plants]
Hey noodle what did you do today?
Well mum and dad woke me up around 11ish and told me we were gonna do the lights a couple days early, since the weather was gonna turn bad and dad was soon gonna hafta go to China. I roused myself awake and headed upstairs, where I enjoyed a tasty bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and eve managed to do all the puzzles on the back (Finish the word by filling in the blanks, swirl-matching, and I Spy the aforementioned words in the larger pic). After eating and letting my tummy settle, we pulled boxes from the attic and sorted through the lights.
From there we went outside and began prepping the yard. We threw some ropes into trees to hang our giant Jew-Star, then dad and I trimmed the cedar near the road. When we finished that we began messing with lights. We strung them around the cedars out front, then up the dogwood trees up there, then when we finished that we decided to go inside for some lunch. I made myself a couple packs of ramen, then after finishing that dad and I went upstairs to string lights along the roof. Because I get sooooo shaky-legged on the roof, he let me stay downstairs so I could fetch things for him when needed.
At around 5:30 I went downstairs and called grandma. She was at the Sunset Grille with Tom, Marty, Diane, her parents and brother and daughter, and her daughter's fiance. Busy! It was good to know she's got family around! I only chatted a couple minutes because I knew she was busy, then I grabbed a shower and headed out to Friends-giving!
Friends-giving is a really fun annual celebration Stephanie puts on. I grabbed my rainbow jello and headed her way. My phone was at like 9% charge, so I had to conserve Google Maps, but I knew the street and found the place well enough. I saw a house that looked like where I needed to be, but pulled a bit further and parked in an auto-parking lot and called my Jeep-frand, but he didn't answer so I decided to head to that house and hope for the best, and sure enough! Friends-giving!
There were loads of people there, and we all chatted and had fun and talked about old times and then ate some mostly-vegan food since Steph is a vegan! Yum! After eating and chatting for a long while, I eventually headed out and about around 10:15ish. I went to Walmart and got some groceries, but they didn't have some of the light-strands I needed, so I only got one of the strands we did need (tho its lights were a bit larger). I then headed home and put on Vinny's Annual Zelda 2 Randomizer Playthrough while I typed! Fun!
I wound up doing over 3000 words on my story, and it helped my pace by having each '100 word' mile marker being represented, and erasing them as I passed by. Eventually I went to bed around 5 AM.
I hope everyone has a Friends-giving day! <333
