Good art, though that description, I recommend you try them sometime if you're at all into platformers of any kind. The series is quite fun, with a lot of good gameplay, and probably the best stealth/sneak modes around. Also, 1-3 tell one of the most interesting stories about reputation all together, that I think you'll ever find. From gaining it, to holding onto it, to what reputation really means when everything is all said and done. The fourth one isn't so good at any of that, and ends on a cliffhanger that will never be resolved, so yeah, that sucks, but if you ever get a chance, pick up the ps2 games and give them a try.
It is good too, oddly, the 'collections' of Sly, Jak and Daxter, and Ratchet and Clank on the PS3 all seem to suffer from some...odd graphical glitches, though I think Sly does the least, due in part to the engine used being a bit more sturdy thanks to testing. That said, I do think with those in mind, the PS2 versions are the best way to play them, but the collection works...just ignore the ad for Sly 4, like I said, that one was...well, it plays alright, but Sly's real power is in it's story, which I find interesting between the 3 series.
Jak, R&C, and Sly all average out to really good, thanks to one particular aspect. Jak it's the design, level and world both really work together to create a hell of a time. For R&C it's the moment to moment gameplay, mostly the combat, with the sheer variety of weapons and gadgets you use to really put one over on your foes. Then there's Sly. All things consider, it's got the least gameplay, and an eclectic mix of styles, but those characters and story remain strong and powerful throughout, and I think that gives it the best finale of the three, whereas the other two could always keep going, if the creators wanted them to, Sly would require a bit more effort, which Sanzaro did not put in sadly.
