This will be rather OT, but:
... according to a book I recently read (Complete Idiot's Guide to Werewolves, so yeah, take it for what it's worth) there's been an upswing in reported cases of clinical lycanthropy (apparently with a side order of psychotic nihilism*) in Iran, of all places.
You know, people who think that either they or everyone around them have been transformed into wolves? Yes, that. Makes me wonder why the heck so many Iranians think they've turned into wolves.
Just seems odd to me in that my heroic fantasy stories abiout my wolf-guy Ardashir (in which he's nothing like the poor goof in the art I've posted of him!) are set in a Pre-Islamic Iran. To me it's just a weird coincidence, is all.
* -- The author, who makes some AWFUL errors in the book that I could catch, stated that 'psychotic nihilism' is the idea that human morality and ethics no longer mean anything to you, therefor you can do literally anything (steal, rape, murder, rape and murder and eat your own mother, etc.) and it means nothing because "morality is for humans, and I'm not human." Considering what one sees sometimes in furry fandom, it's a scary thought if true.
