Yeah, but that's just the PRIMA writers being lazy XD
Their Japanese name is totally different, so they're not the same thing.
Anyways, you don't see a lot of SMG Monty fanart, so kudos for making that commish. Moles are underappreciated it seems....

Oh I didn't know that. Yea the japanese name is just Mogu which is kinda lazy too cause comes from Mogura (mole). Yea moles need some more love. I loved those guys and I always feel bad for beating them. There are some fanart of major burrows if you're interested (the boss)

They probably started with Undergrunt (Muguhei/Mugucchi) and designed Monty later as a "non-soldier" version, TBH.
But of course, everyone sees them as Rocky Wrench and Monty Mole because that's pretty much what they are XD
