Valerie grew up in Galar as the daughter of two very skilled pokemon, a pair who have often made their way through the gym challenge many times. With her family training hard for battles every day, it was no surprise Valerie would soon join them when she was old enough to properly battle. Her father Arthur, a Corviknight that has become the center of attention for many pokemon, would often be a little strict when it came to certain rules or her training. Though her mother Louisa, a kind Sirfetch’d always looking to see the best out of others, would often help Valerie or discourage following the rules whenever he wasn’t around. Even though Valerie’s father disliked technology such as gaming systems or cellphones, Louisa would always gift them to her despite his words. The only trouble her father had caused for her was instead through his fame, causing an unnecessary amount of attention towards her for what her father has done. While she likes being recognized for her father, being compared often makes her a little upset inside. She wants to aim to be like her mother, a Sirfetch’d who looks to train others and battle fair and square without outside items. Valerie wishes to not only aim towards her goals, but prove she can be more than just a pokemon clinging on to her father’s fame. With her newfound friends looking to aim towards the Gym Challenge, this would be the best opportunity for her and the others.
