Howzit! I'm finally back in the groove after my uni projects finished. I'm not going at full speed because my wrists are still recovering, but I can work for long enough to make progress. And here's a thing right here! This is for someone on Discord who a while back used my avatar as her own for a bit, except she had "Linzy McClaw" as her name and drew jewellery and makeup on it. It was... weird for me. But as an antidote, I offered making her her own linzerd, an idea which she loved. And now, finally I was able to make it.

The design came together quickly, but I'm proud of it, and she seemed very happy with it too. I would have liked to have more input on the design, but she didn't have much in the way of ideas. I got just enough pointers to have some good freedom, though. I'm calling her "Katzerd", but that's just a nickname. Oh yeah, and she really likes Mew, so I thought she'd like to be pictured with one.
The colour scheme was heavily based on this palette I had in my collection: (link)
I have a few interesting random colour palettes from http://colormind.io stored for inspiration, you see. This one seemed like it might be a good fit, and it worked wonderfully. I tweaked all the colours a fair bit except the horn colour, and lightened the dark magenta where I'd previously used it for the eyes.
I did a lot of things to polish this. I try to avoid flat colour drawings nowadays since it feels lazy, so I thought I'd try some little touches to give depth to this. The lines are thicker where they separate a thing from another thing behind it, and the lines on the inside are coloured. I put a little rimlight on it, and finally put some subtle gradients on the parts in shadow, as another couple of ways of giving depth and separating the elements. Well anyway, seeya!
