I'm in two different D&D campaigns right now, and as you can imagine I end up drawing stuff for each of them. One of my roommate asked me if I would mind drawing his Elven Avenger (whose name I can't remember for the life of me), and I said, "Sure, why not?" So here he is.
If you're not familiar with D&D and don't know what an Avenger is, basically it is a cloth-based melee class that uses big two-handed weapons. My friend wanted the sword based off one of Auron's from FFX, so if it looks familiar to you that's probably why. ;)
My coloring style has been getting increasingly more hectic lately. This time I colored the image by placing different hues over varying opacities of gray. I also placed a flat white underneath everything and erased back into it, giving me easy access to even more colors. It was really different, but I like the end result a lot. Oh, and the texture is from a scan of old paper, which you can find here: http://psdesigning.com/downloads/old_paper2.jpg
