Hey all...it's not in my general nature to ask for help, but we got some crushing news that our newest addition, Ramsay, has heartworms. It was especially awful to find out because his previous records from his former shelter had him negative and we've diligently kept up with preventatives, but, as is the diceroll with any rescue, and the fact that it takes 6 months for heartworms to mature and to give a positive read on a heartworm test, these things can, and do, happen. We weren't planning on the expense, and it'll take about 9 months and $2000 to fully treat the disease. The good news is, it IS treatable!! We'd never give up on our handsome boy, and want to do everything possible to get him back to prime health, but we could use a little help.
