...this is in Hilo, Hawai'i, the obviously more tropical part of the Big Island. It's rains constantly where if you don't get any water from the sky within 2 hours, it's considered a drought. No joke..

Being the wettest city in the U.S., Hilo has to support a rich ecosystem that consists of these massive jungles of large ferns. Native birds, which are threatened by introduced birds, live here. They're actually quite adorable!
