I did it to myself this time. Tried a slightly different facial structure by giving him a more... Greek (?) nose than I usually do and honestly it turned out well.

Then I thought about a little one off....

Aaaaaaaaand I kept him.

Based on an Achilles Tang, he also has a few barbs on his fins that administer a low-potency neurotoxin, which has saved him on more than one occasion. He’s missing most of one frontal fin, has a torn dorsal, is missing two fingers on his left hand and most of his ring finger of his right. He’s been around the reef a few times and knows how to fight, but is willing to sacrifice his well being for his pod by letting himself get into the worst situations to allow his toxin to assist, including being eaten if needed.

It’s the life of a far-shore pod male.

There is a main queen of the pod that likes to tease him and tries to get him to canoodle with her but he remains firm in their old ideals and politely declines with excuses as often as he can. It hasn’t always worked, but the less she wins the lower his chances of getting in trouble.
