Okay so I have superhero OCs that started off as DC expies.... BUT.... they have evolved unto their own. In order:
Philomena Grey: raised in a "separatist" lesbian mountain community by her adoptive parents, she is basically Superman except not so dramatically OP. Can still fly, lift a building, and is more-or-less invulnerable. She is also hella gay and like a golden retriever. Opinionated and clever in that happy-go-lucky sort of way, effortlessly kind and warm, somehow still manages to trip over her own feet. Will never give up on anyone.
Rosa Merlo: a civilian, technically. She's a smart as balls scientist (mechanical and chemical engineer, works in high tech R&D facilities and is wildly dedicated to her work. She is the steady one of the group, where Philo's warmth is bright and loud, Rosa is like a stream. Rosa is busy and likes to be busy, she is prone to rambling about her projects and science in general, but she also has a life. A normal... life. She is wry and unflappable and accustomed to wild personalities.
Iro Karis: ex-assassin turned vigilante. She definitely comes off colder than the others, keeps people at arms length and keeps herself reserved and aloof. Iro is highly keen, observant, and intelligent. The ultimate infiltrator, spy, and assassin (except she doesn't kill unless she has to, bc unlike most comic books, she's aware sometimes you need to put some criminals down *cough cough*thejoker*cough cough*). Iro is just trying to be a person again but has no idea how. Rosa and Philo help with this. She's not accustomed to being SEEN let alone showing vulnerability or affection, so this pic is further along the Superworld timeline, but yes.
(oh yeah she's deffo a Batman expie at first, except not the dysfunctional/abusive dickbag a lot of writers seem to make of Batman... think the JLA/Batman: The Animated Series/kids show versions of him. Like... kind of a dick but more just reserved/neurodivergent/blue oni than anything else..... definitely not working through my own personal issues with her alskdfasj)
