In mandarin, this is pronunced as "gong xi fa cai", i don't know what dialect you wrote it in, do you know which it is? I'm interested :) (sounds hongkongian to me)

I'm sorry to say that I missed our local Chinese New Years parade this morning. We have a large percentage of people from China here, and I always love going to the New Years celebrations. I am especially fond of the lion dances. Unfortunately this years celebrations were earlier then usual and somewhat disrupted since we have the Olympics going on right now. I ended up missing the celebration, but I still wanted to say happy new year to you!! :D

I never saw the lion dance myself, I guess as a lion it must be something i should see at least once? But actually I guess you might have had other plans. Yesterday also was valentine's day after all ! Happened at the same time as chinese new year this year :)
